September 10, 2025: The world has tragically lost a great leader of traditional American family values, Christian faith, and Constitutional rights. Just hours ago, Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, was shot in the neck while speaking at a Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University.

At 3:40 pm Eastern, President Trump posted on Truth Social, “The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead. No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie. He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us. Melania and my Sympathies go out to his beautiful wife Erika, and family. Charlie, we love you!”

This is a Time to Pray, Mourn and Unite

I am at a loss for words to express the unjust, tragic and abrupt end to Charlie Kirk’s life. We have become so divided as a nation that some individuals express hatred and violence towards those who express different political or healthcare opinions from what was the mainstream narrative from 2020 - 2024. This is not normal human behaviour. It is cruel, inhumane and evil.

Charlie Kirk was a Christian icon of reasonable and rational political debate. He was and his work will continue to be a powerful positive influence on young American men and women.

Please pray for Charlie’s Kirk’s wife, daughter, son, and family, that they are able to find a peace that surpasses all understanding in remembering all of Charlie’s contributions to our world and our nation; and by knowing that Charlie has found peace in being reunited with our heavenly Father.

And in the name of Jesus, I pray to God that our nation, as a people, can restore the ability to act with kindness, compassion, Christian values, and rationale thinking towards our neighbors, especially when we disagree.

I pray that the tragic loss of Charlie Kirk literally be a Turning Point for Americans to begin to reunite and be more kind to one another (period). I pray that our nation is able to restore the ability for families and communities to seek fair, swift, and just accountability through the American legal system against those who have perpetrated cruel, heartless and inhumane crimes. Amen.
